*sigh*
Clouds and rumbles to the north. Radar shows rain heading NE. :(
On the bright side, the sun shines above the clouds! hehe

Spraying Time!
I love to watch the planes fly overhead as they spray. They get so close to buildings and wires sometimes that it scares me! I missed the best shots today, darnit!

:'( Hard Times
Gosh, with all that rain this spring, we have had 1/4" all summer! Some of the corn is just falling over. I asked Lynn if we had a wind storm I didn't know about, and he said that it's just brittle and dead. Huge spots of beans are turning a gross light bluish-green and dying. Some of the areas didn't even get planted as the spring was so wet right into summer. Lynn tried planting some really late beans (I mean, REALLY LATE) into the muddy spots. It hasn't worked well. I thought LAST YEAR'S drought was bad! Sheesh...
Perhaps tomorrow I'll get photos of the crops.

CHILLIN'
Wow. No rain yet! It goes, east, north, south... If the wind decides to blow, it's going to be pretty wicked, as thick as the dust is. Below is a photo of some cows keeping cool.

Stuck Again!
While spraying yesterday, Lynn found a wet spot by a well. He was keeping an eye on the well and didn't see this. Hard to believe a few feet away it's dry as a bone!
Hoped for rain to settle this ground. Bah! Resorting to sprinkling.

zzzzzzzz.....................
Alarm went off at 2:30 AM. They loaded hogs at 3:00 this morning. I got up and was going to go take pictures of them and realized my van was being repaired, so happily I slinked back to bed....
(The hogs go out early like that when it's really hot as the trip is too hard on them in the daytime.)
